Bosch China Personnel Adjustment Chen Yudong Cheng Xinxin

Bosch has announced that since January 1, 2011, Dr. Yudong Chen, former executive vice president of Bosch China, has served as the new president of Bosch China. Mr. Peng Deyuan, former president of China, retired on December 31, 2010. At the same time, as the successor of Chen Yudong, Dr. Xu Daquan will be responsible for managing the development of Bosch's automotive technology business in China.

Dr. Yudong Chen was born in Suzhou, Jiangsu Province. He graduated from the Department of Electrical Engineering of Chongqing University in 1982 and graduated from the University of Michigan Mechanical Engineering in 1991 with a PhD. After receiving a master's degree in business administration from Michigan State University in the United States in 1998, he returned to China where he worked as a leading automotive technology supplier in various positions including engineering technology, business development, and corporate management. In 2007, Chen Yudong joined the Bosch Group as Senior Vice President of the Gasoline Engine Systems Division, responsible for business development in China. Since May 2008, he has been responsible for managing the business development of Bosch Automotive Technologies in China. Under his leadership, Bosch's sales in China's automotive technology business, which accounts for approximately 60% of the group's total sales in China, more than doubled in three years.

Dr. Xu Daquan joined Bosch in September 2010 and is the executive vice president of Bosch China. He is responsible for the management of Bosch China automotive technology business. Previously, he worked in the auto parts industry in Japan, the United States, and China for 18 years. He has held various positions in engineering technology, factory operations, business development, and corporate management, and has accumulated rich experience. Xu Daquan was born in Wuhu City, Anhui Province. After graduating with a thermal engineering major from Tsinghua University in 1985, he went to Japan to study. In 1992, he received a doctorate in production science and technology from Chiba University. He also received a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Rochester in 2000.

After retiring from office, Mr. Peng Deyuan will serve as a special advisor to the BOSCH Group's board of directors in China and continue to assist Bosch's business development. Peng Deyuan joined Bosch Group in Australia in 1973 and has served as President of Bosch China since 2003. During his seven years in China, he led Bosch's rapid development in this emerging market and prompted China to become Bosch's third largest market in the world. At the same time, he also led Bosch in China to establish a solid local business layout; as of the end of 2009, Bosch operates 47 companies in China, employing more than 21,200 employees.
